Insurance Producer (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health)
SouthPoint Risk, a member of Correll Insurance Group is looking to increase our sales presence and has an immediate position for a full-time P&C/L&H Insurance Producer at our office location in Knoxville, TN.
Job Summary:
The Insurance Producer is an ambitious person that strives to expand their insurance sales team. An energetic professional committed to helping our business grow through outstanding customer experience and insurance sales-driven conversation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
- Document sales and prospecting information.
- Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements.
- Work directly with Account Managers to provide necessary client documents, checklists, and applications for new business, and renewal business.
- Be outstanding at relationship building.
- Stay up to date on industry market trends and best practices through training and education.
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Property & Casualty Insurance License and/or Life & Health Insurance License is encouraged but certainly not required. We are focusing more on finding a perfect candidate willing to learn and thrive using his or her communication skills.
- If not licensed, must obtain Property and Casualty Insurance License within 6 months of employment. Correll will assist in scheduling courses and cover the application and licensing fees along with covering the cost for bi-annual license renewals.
- Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
- Possess an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
- Create relationships from a cold start.
- Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
- Successful sales background.
