Job Description
The Receptionist at Twin City Insurance creates a positive first impression on behalf of the agency. Directs clients to the proper person in a professional, accurate, and timely manner. Performs clerical duties as assigned. Serves as receptionist and first point of contact for all agency visitors.

Responsibilities 
  • Acts as office receptionist. Answers all phone calls within three rings.
  • Handles incoming calls in a friendly and courteous manner, and provides assistance and information as required, and connects the caller with the desired party.
  •  Handles all incoming and outgoing fax messages. Distributes incoming faxes within one hour of receipt via email or established routing procedures.
  • Speaks clearly and uses correct English and proper telephone techniques.
  • Answers client inquiries if possible or directs the question to the person best able to respond.
  • Continually check back with callers placed on hold to ask if they prefer to continue to hold, leave a message, or be transferred to someone else who can help them.
  • Make arrangements with the telephone company for equipment changes or needed repairs as directed.
  • Arrange for relief receptionists in advance whenever possible for planned leave and train relief prior to departure. Provides temporary agency contact information to agency staff and maintains a current relationship so that in the event of an unplanned absence, other agency employees can quickly find a replacement. 
  • Records and forwards accurate messages to agency staff to include the correct name of the caller, phone number, and other pertinent information.

Qualifications
  • Professional appearance is required for this front-line position. 
  • Must demonstrate effective and positive telephone etiquette. 
  • A friendly demeanor is critical, as well as strong organizational skills and a genuine enjoyment found in working with people.

 
Compensation: $30,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
