The Insurance Customer Service Representative Trainee is responsible for taking customer calls, executing personal lines client changes and answering questions, updating notes in agency system, delegating more complicated insurance questions to account managers.

Insurance Customer Service Representative Trainee Requirements:

  • 3 years customer service, administrative or sales support experience
  • Continuous learning mindset, studious with aptitude for learning and taking tests
  • Must enjoy being on the phone majority of the day
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent math and reading skills to accurately perform simple calculations.
  • Relationship builder who enjoys selling as way to help others
  • Service minded sales professional who enjoys meeting clients need and ensure coverages are set up correctly and expectations are exceeded
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner
  • Skilled in handling difficult customer phone calls and problem solving without direct supervision.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Technology proficiency in customer relationship management systems and enjoys technology driven environments
  • Property & Casualty license, a plus – will need to take insurance classes and obtain a license by year end
Insurance Customer Service Representative Trainee Responsibilities

  • Being the first line of contact for personal lines clients calls
  • Service existing clients: updating policies, assisting clients with claims, answering questions, providing documentation.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries and gather all necessary information.
  • Review coverage while servicing clients and offer appropriate coverage to meet their needs
  • Resolve issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting correction, following to resolution.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.

Compensation: $40,000.00 per year
