Overview

At Harris & Company Insurance, a Personal Lines Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all customer service functions related to personal insurance. The ideal candidate will quickly and professionally manage client needs and find solutions through interactions over the phone, email, and in person.

Harris & Company Insurance is an established yet growing independent insurance agency with a long track record of superior customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated personal lines clients with regards to policy changes as well as billing, coverage, and claims questions.
  • Become proficient in navigating sales and service procedures with all personal lines insurance carriers.
  • Assist with account-rounding by periodically recommending homeowners, auto, or life insurance as appropriate.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, teammates, and insurance carriers.
  • Provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to clients.
  • Assist sales agents ("producers'") with personal lines quotes and policy issuance.
Qualifications:

  • Organized, punctual, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • NC Property & Casualty Insurance License prior to employment
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Proficient in various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and ability to learn the agency's management system

Insurance experience highly preferred, but not required. NC Property & Casualty Insurance License will be a requirement prior to starting. Prior experience with Erie Insurance is a plus.
